Pull Apart Day by James C

“It won’t come loose!” I yelled. I was trying to undo the last screw. It would hardly budge. My hands were sweaty and red. I tried for what felt like hours but was only was 2 minutes. I betrayed the screwdriver and instead with all my might... SNAP! It was in 2 pieces. The smell of oil rushed up my nose and made it burn. I never knew oil smelt so appalling. I reached in to feel what it was like inside - soon after my hand was covered in brown sticky goo which looked like alien blood. It all began with a stream of excitement by the children. All with tools in their hands racing to start. The classroom was deafening with the noise of students shouting their heads off with excitement. The noise was all shattered when Miss Yates yelled, “Everyone be quiet!” The radio had one circuit which looked like a micro-city. I could even imagine living there. “I wish I could shrink myself,” I thought. By James C
