Hockey and Cross Country

Recently there have been two school tournaments where Room 10 and 11 students represented Ngaio School.

In the hockey tournament, Ngaio School 2s came 4th and Ngaio School 1s came 2nd.

Ngaio School 2s were made up of Year 6 students and Ngaio School 1s were made up of Year 5 and 6 students. Cameron from Room 11 and Zoe from Room 10 were both in Ngaio School 2s. Zoe scored 3 goals overall and Cameron scored 5 goals overall.

In the regional cross country event, two Ngaio students placed. This event was held in Waikanae. The Ngaio school team consisted of Lola, Jackson and Scarlett A. Lola came fifth in the Year 6 race, while unfortunately Jackson didn't finish the Year 4 race. Scarlett A came third in the Year 5 race. Lola and Scarlett are through to the inter-regionals. Ten students from all the suburbs in New Zealand will participate. This event will also be held in Waikanae.
