Pull Apart Day by Savannah

“UGHHH!” cried Cate in frustration. “How are we supposed to pull this thing apart?”
Honestly, I didn’t know. The smell of oil fogged up my brain, but then Cate smiled,
“I’ve got it! It’s as easy as pie.”
YES, I thought to myself. I offered to do the next screw. While I was doing so, I spotted a spider.
“AHH!” I shrieked and then Cate saw it.
“AHHH!” she cried. Ms Yates came over and threw the spider in the bin saying,
“Honestly girls, you should really stop being silly and get on with your work!”
I grabbed the screwdriver and my hands got really sweaty as I tried to loosen the screw. I recalled the day’s events in my mind.

I had arrived at school and gone straight to my desk only to see a electronic device on it.  I wondered if that was the device I would pull apart. But then Ms Yates screamed,
“Everyone, don’t touch any of the devices and COME SIT ON THE MAT!”

But that was then. As we pulled apart the dryer I saw a rusty motor, pieces of wire and a circuit that looked like a Google Maps version of a factory from a satellite. Wow, Pull Apart Day has been really awesome!

  1. Very descriptive writing Sav - I could imagine what the inside of the dryer must have looked like! What a cool project - spiders and all!
